General Laborer Job Description The General Laborer assembles cylinders and locks according to customer specifications while supporting production, packaging, and shipping activities. This role focuses on maintaining high quality standards, operating manufacturing machinery, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts in a clean, organized work area. Responsibilities Assemble cylinders and locks accurately based on customer specifications. Process, package, and ship orders as needed, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Inspect products for defects and damage, and identify any issues that could affect quality. Maintain a consistent, acceptable level of individual quality and productivity performance. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Operate manufacturing machinery in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines. Assist with new product development activities by supporting assembly and production tasks. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, quality, and efficiency. Perform miscellaneous tasks and duties as required by management to support production and operations. Essential Skills Experience performing general labor tasks in a production or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with assembly work, particularly assembling mechanical components such as cylinders and locks. Background in manufacturing or production operations. Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively. Experience with packing and packaging products for shipment. Attention to detail when inspecting products for defects and damage. Ability to maintain consistent quality and productivity levels. Capability to operate manufacturing machinery following instructions and safety protocols. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing setting.
