Job Description An established stone fabrication company in the St. Louis area is seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Warehouse Material Handler & Inventory Coordinator to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines warehouse material handling, inventory management, and purchasing responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes initiative, and can manage responsibilities independently. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate material and supply needs to keep production operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Material Handling Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize stone slabs and other materials. Receive and inspect incoming material deliveries. Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse. Assist with loading and unloading trucks. Track incoming and outgoing materials. Coordinate with production personnel to ensure materials are available when needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Follow all company safety procedures and material-handling protocols. Inventory Management & Purchasing Monitor inventory levels of shop supplies, tooling, consumables, and other production materials. Take responsibility for ordering and replenishing most shop supplies. Anticipate purchasing needs to avoid shortages and production delays. Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and deliveries. Prepare and track purchase orders. Verify incoming shipments against orders and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records. Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and inventory organization. Required Qualifications Current forklift certification required. Previous warehouse or material-handling experience. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory and purchasing software. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong communication skills. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to safely perform physical warehouse duties. Preferred Qualifications Experience purchasing supplies or managing inventory in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with purchase orders, inventory tracking, and vendor communications. Experience handling stone slabs, construction materials, or other large and heavy materials. Knowledge of shop tooling, consumables, and manufacturing supplies.
