Responsibilities Material Handler - Warehouse Distribution Picking Case goods for shipment
Shift:
12 hour Shift Rotation 6:45pm - 7am Safety Responsibilities Follow all safety procedures at all times Comply with OSHA and hazardous material regulations Follow all plant and department safety rules Equipment Operation & Maintenance Operate forklifts and complete required inspections Maintain forklift batteries (charging, filling, changing as needed) Operate dock equipment (manual and automatic) and report any problems Warehouse Duties Keep warehouse clean and organized Maintain floors, aisles, equipment, and common areas Load and unload trailers safely Transport materials between warehouse areas Pull, stage, and ship customer orders Inventory & Material Handling Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and goods Use barcode scanners and computer systems for inventory transactions Follow First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory procedures Report any inventory discrepancies or material issues Ensure no damaged materials are accepted or shipped Shipping & Documentation Prepare and complete shipping documents accurately and clearly Verify outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy Report any issues such as damage, contamination, or packaging problems Quality Control Ensure all products shipped meet quality standards Reject damaged or non-compliant materials Additional Responsibilities Participate in inventory cycle counts Follow all work instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines Attend required meetings and training sessions Assist in training other employees as needed Special Requirements Maintain a CDL license if working in designated areas (MOR and WAY)
Qualifications Qualifications:
High School Diploma Required Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred Ability to operate various forklifts (certification preferred or willingness to obtain) Basic computer and scanning system knowledge Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift and move materials as required
