Company Overview Atlantic Caseworks is an award-winning, AWI-certified regional manufacturer of custom commercial cabinets and architectural millwork. Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, we create, manufacture, and install custom casework and architectural millwork for a diverse range of commercial markets, including corporate offices, retail spaces, restaurants, medical facilities, hospitality establishments, churches, schools, and universities. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to help start up our new 36,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Butner, NC . This position is responsible for receiving, unloading, organizing, staging, and moving materials throughout the manufacturing facility . A primary responsibility will be keeping our CNC router and beam saw supplied with the correct sheet goods to maintain an efficient production flow. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience and be comfortable handling plywood, MDF, particleboard, laminate, and other sheet goods used in cabinet and millwork manufacturing. This position requires someone who is organized, safety-conscious, dependable, and able to stay ahead of production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Duties Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment Receive and unload incoming material deliveries Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and receiving documentation Inspect materials for damage, shortages, or incorrect products Properly organize and store sheet goods, lumber, laminate, hardware, and other production materials Identify and select the correct materials required for scheduled production Stage and deliver sheet goods to the CNC router and beam saw based on production requirements Maintain an organized flow of material to ensure CNC and saw operators have the materials they need without production delays Move completed parts and materials to appropriate downstream production areas Maintain accurate material identification and storage locations Rotate and organize inventory to minimize damage and unnecessary material handling Assist with inventory counts and material tracking Maintain clean and organized receiving, warehouse, and material staging areas Communicate material shortages, damaged products, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors Follow all forklift, material-handling, and company safety procedures Assist other production areas with material movement as needed Qualifications Previous forklift and material-handling experience preferred Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, cabinet, woodworking, or building-material environment is a plus Experience handling 4' × 8' and larger sheet goods is highly desirable Ability to safely operate a forklift in production and warehouse environments Ability to read material labels, production paperwork, and basic inventory information Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize material needs and stay ahead of production Ability to lift and handle materials as required Dependable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Actual pay range will be determined by the individual's related material handling, forklift, warehouse, and manufacturing experience.
