Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. The Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities, including inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. This role is vital to maintaining smooth warehouse operations, adhering to safety regulations, and supporting overall supply chain effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical proficiency with warehouse management systems and equipment operation, demonstrating a commitment to safety and accuracy. Duties Operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and cranes to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently. Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, data entry into inventory management software, and regular cycle counts. Prepare orders by picking items accurately using order pickers and ensuring correct packaging for shipment. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with safety protocols and PPE use. Support materials handling tasks including manual lifting, stacking, stocking shelves, and load/unload activities. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall logistics efficiency. Ensure adherence to safety regulations during all operations, including heavy equipment operation and manual handling procedures. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update records, and generate reports. Support warehouse management in implementing safety protocols and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Requirements Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse operations such as stocking, order picking, packing, shipping & receiving. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment. Knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse management systems. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining proper safety procedures. Basic math skills for counting stock quantities and verifying shipments accurately. Previous experience in warehouse supervision or logistics coordination is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and order fulfillment processes. Technical proficiency with warehouse technology tools such as order pickers, load/unload machinery, and inventory software. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
