Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Delivery Driver and Warehouse Worker, where your energy and dedication will drive our success! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely delivering appliances to and from warehouse location while efficiently managing warehouse operations. Your proactive approach and excellent driving skills will ensure timely deliveries, exceptional customer service, and smooth warehouse functions. This position offers an engaging environment where your efforts directly contribute to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver goods to various locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload materials using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices. Manage warehouse tasks such as inventory organization, stock replenishment, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Verify delivery orders, complete delivery documentation accurately, and obtain signatures from customers upon receipt. Use mobile devices or delivery apps to navigate routes efficiently, track deliveries, and communicate with the team. Assist with moving heavy items within the warehouse or during deliveries using manual handling equipment like pallet jacks or dollies. Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, including weight handling in the workplace and adhering to DOT regulations for commercial driving. Skills Proven experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations with a focus on manual handling and heavy lifting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or appropriate license for box truck or van operation; experience with manual transmission is a plus. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safe driving practices for commercial trucks and personal vehicles. Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional communication abilities. Familiarity with warehouse procedures including load & unload processes and inventory management. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
