Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Manufacturer of foundry cores, luting paste and packaging for railroad maintenance supplier. Be able to execute work orders and produce welding kits for railroad maintenance. Strong focus on safety, quality and efficiencies..
KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
Learn how to set-up, run and operate various production and packaging machines. Be able to track and keep record for progress on hourly boards. Be trainable to learn OSHA safety standards, 5-S and working in a team setting. Be able to work without physical limitations, bending, twisting or squatting may be necessary from time to time. Be able to stack a 50 lb. package when necessary. Forklift training is offered and is a plus to have experience but not required. Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.

SKILLS NEEDED
No experience required. Basic problem solving a plus, will train. High school diploma or GED. Prior factory experience a plus, but not necessary. Dependable transportation is a must. Self-starter; able to work in an independent manner, when required. Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization and achieve cultural change in the face of potential resistance. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to train all levels of the organization, across all shifts of operation.
MEASUREMENT
Primary measures of successful performance will be: Manufacturing efficiencies, safety records ,attendance and work area cleanliness. Manufacturing rate to quality standards.
