Job Description

CHOP Out Hunger is looking for a Seasonal Driver/Warehouse Assistant in our Towanda, PA location. This is a seasonal position supporting our increased food distribution and warehouse needs. The position will assist with driving, deliveries, warehouse operations, and other duties as needed. Previous forklift experience and the ability to safely operate a forklift are required. Safely drive company vehicles to deliver food and supplies to schools. Load and unload food, supplies, and other materials from vehicles and warehouse areas. Safely operate a vehicle and comply with all traffic laws. Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on vehicles before and after each trip to ensure that vehicles are safe for driving and driving privileges are maintained. Operate a forklift safely to load, unload, move, and organize food and other materials within the warehouse. Assist with receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing food and other warehouse inventory. Help maintain an organized and clean warehouse, including monitoring inventory and ensuring products are stored appropriately. Assist with preparing and organizing deliveries for drivers and volunteers. Comply with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to: attendance, vehicle usage, maintenance, transportation usage, safety, and work hours.

Education/Experience/Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid PA Driver's License. Previous warehouse experience preferred. Previous forklift experience required; forklift certification is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, written text, email, and face-to-face. Ability to read and understand English. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
