Bridge Brothers About Bridge Brothers Bridge Brothers designs, engineers, fabricates, and constructs custom steel bridges across the country. Our fabrication shop supports projects from raw material to finished steel components. We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused Material Handler with strong heavy forklift experience to support material movement throughout our shop and yard. Position Summary Bridge Brothers is seeking an experienced Material Handler responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and staging large steel components and raw materials throughout our fabrication facility. This is a forklift-heavy position , and candidates must have prior experience operating forklifts to handle large, heavy, and oversized materials . Experience moving structural steel or working in a fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment is strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy-capacity forklifts to safely move large steel components and raw materials Load and unload trucks, trailers, and material deliveries Move long, heavy, and oversized steel throughout the shop and yard Stage materials for welders, fabricators, painters, and other production teams Safely position and transport materials in active fabrication areas Inspect loads and determine safe lifting and material-handling methods Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues Maintain organized material flow throughout the facility Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Maintain a clean and organized work environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1+ year of heavy forklift experience required Experience moving large, heavy, or oversized materials required Experience handling structural steel strongly preferred Manufacturing, fabrication, construction, steel, or other heavy industrial experience preferred Strong understanding of forklift safety, load capacity, and material handling Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in an industrial environment Strong attention to safety and reliability Team-oriented attitude and solid work ethic Forklift certification is a plus but not required (certification available in-house if needed). Physical Demands & Work Environment Industrial fabrication and outdoor yard environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Regular operation of heavy material-handling equipment Exposure to dust, noise, weather, and moving equipment PPE required and provided
Role Details Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. EST (some weekends as needed)

Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
