Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a General Labor Auto Dismantling specialist and become a vital part of our auto recycling and salvage operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently dismantling vehicles, handling recyclable materials, and the possibility of operating heavy equipment for the right person to support environmentally responsible waste management. Your efforts will contribute directly to sustainable recycling practices while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Duties Operate material handling equipment such as loaders, forklifts, front loader, roll-off trucks, and excavators to dismantle vehicles and move recyclable materials safely and efficiently Disassemble vehicles by removing parts, fluids, and hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations and environmental compliance standards Handle recyclable materials responsibly, ensuring proper sorting and disposal in line with landfill management and solid waste regulations Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents during heavy equipment operation and manual labor Assist in the transportation of dismantled vehicle parts using garbage trucks or other material handling equipment for recycling or disposal purposes Support environmental compliance efforts by adhering to hazardous materials regulations and recycling procedures during all phases of dismantling Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience, particularly in manufacturing, sanitation, or waste management environments Mechanical knowledge or experience with heavy equipment operation such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or front loader trucks is highly preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics Familiarity with safety regulations related to hazardous materials handling and environmental compliance Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols consistently Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to physically demanding tasks Basic understanding of recyclable materials handling, landfill management, and solid waste operations is a plus This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in active outdoor settings and are committed to safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
