DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

This position is part of our Culinary Innovation Hub Grab-n-Go team, which produces a lineup of our most popular signature salads, homemade Ready-to-Heat entrees, signature wood-fired Take-n-Bake pizzas, and our award-winning tiramisu dessert. These items are available in grocery stores around the Puget Sound. The Warehouse Support Specialist will perform tasks in the Hub warehouse including receiving supplies and ingredients, stocking and picking supplies and ingredients, and maintaining the warehouse and dock areas.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Essential Job Duties:

• Complete training and maintain required certifications for forklift and powered pallet jack use as directed and provided by Tutta Bella.
• Receive incoming deliveries of ingredients, packaging materials and other supplies.
• Complete required receiving documentation including signing for deliveries.
• Conduct inspection and testing of received deliveries as required for quality assurance and food safety.
• Participate in monthly inventory and support inventory control.
• Stock delivered supplies in assigned storage locations.
• Support maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data.
• Maintain the shipping and receiving area as a safe and organized workplace.

Additional Duties:

• Act as a Route Driver/Merchandiser on an occasional basis to cover callouts and leaves within that team.
• Act as an on-call Route Driver/Merchandiser on an occasional basis, per our on-call driver policy.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Perform and assist with general housekeeping tasks including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down work surfaces.
• Arrive for each scheduled shift on-time and ready to work with proper food safety and safety equipment.
• Report barriers to completing daily shipping and receiving tasks to a supervisor or manager (e.g. missing tools, damaged materials, improper temperature control).
• Contribute to a working environment where everyone is valued and respected.
• Remain coachable and eager to improve and grow.
• Support the work of other teams to ensure that production and shipping can be completed on schedule.

Required Experience, Certifications and Education:

• Maintain a current Food Handler's Permit valid in King County.
• Complete and maintain all required trainings as provided by Tutta Bella in accordance with FDA and USDA requirements.
• Learn and apply safe-handling procedures for all equipment and appliances used in the completion of daily work through training provided by Tutta Bella.
• Maintain required certifications for use of forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and any other motorized equipment approved for use by Tutta Bella in the completion of daily position tasks.
• Maintain a clean driving record with no more than 1 at-fault violation or moving violation within 3 years.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to work while standing and walking for up to 3 hours without sitting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly without strain.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:

This position will regularly work conditions open to the elements such as loading dock conditions. This position will regularly work in conditions that are exposed to outdoor weather and temperature conditions. All work must be performed wearing required and appropriate safety equipment including slip-resistant shoes, gloves, and florescent vests. This position will occasionally need to wear food safety equipment including a lab coat, hairnet, and food-safe gloves.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be fluent and literate in English in order to review and process invoices and interface with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States of America (USA).
