General Hours - 8am - 5pm Position Summary The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping parts and materials in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. This role helps maintain inventory organization, supports internal teams and customers, and ensures the warehouse remains clean, efficient, and compliant with company safety standards. This position is hands-on and may include loading/unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, assisting with inventory counts, and supporting general warehouse needs. Key Responsibilities Receiving and Put-Away
Receive incoming shipments and verify items against packing slips, purchase orders, and system records
Inspect incoming parts/materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
Tag and label incoming inventory correctly
Put inventory away in assigned warehouse locations using proper handling methods
Report receiving issues promptly to the Warehouse Manager or appropriate team member Order Picking, Packing, and Shipping
Pick parts accurately for customer orders, transfer orders, and service jobs
Package items securely to prevent damage during shipment
Prepare shipments using company-approved carriers and shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, LTL, local freight, etc.)
Stage outgoing orders for pickup or delivery
Confirm correct quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation before shipment Inventory and Warehouse Organization
Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled shelving, bins, and floor storage areas
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory counts
Help identify inventory errors, damaged goods, and obsolete/slow-moving items
Restock common items in designated pick locations
Follow FIFO/stock rotation practices when applicable Equipment and Material Handling
Safely load/unload trucks and trailers
Move materials and parts throughout the warehouse/yard using approved equipment
Perform routine pre-use inspections on material handling equipment
Notify supervisor of equipment maintenance or safety concerns General Warehouse Support
Assist warehouse team with daily priorities and rush orders
Support shop/service personnel with parts staging as needed
Maintain a safe work area and follow all PPE and safety requirements
Assist with basic facility upkeep related to warehouse operations (sweeping, organizing, pallet removal, trash, etc.)
