• Monitor inventory of chemicals, parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, and employee performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, reliability, and operating costs.
• Ensure the facility, grounds, vehicles, and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support the successful operation of the facility. Qualifications
• Previous experience in wastewater, sewer, utility, environmental, or industrial operations preferred.
• Supervisory or crew-lead experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and respond to emergency situations when required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Wastewater/sewer operator certification or applicable licenses preferred.
• Computer skills and experience with maintenance or operational tracking systems preferred. What We Offer
