Job Description

Overview Element is seeking a Waste Treatment & Environmental Technician. Join a high-impact manufacturing team where your work directly supports safe operations and uninterrupted production. This role is responsible for monitoring treatment processes, handling chemicals safely, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring critical systems operate efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in wastewater treatment, chemical processing, environmental operations, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance. Direct wastewater experience is preferred but not required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training for motivated individuals with strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. The successful candidate will receive onsite training on Element Hartford's waste treatment systems, processes, procedures, and applicable requirements.
Compensation:
$22.50- $30.00 per hour Responsibilities Monitor and maintain an onsite waste treatment system Track pH levels, flow rates, and chemical usageRefill and handle treatment chemicals safely Perform routine equipment checks and basic instrument calibration Maintain accurate operational logs and documentation Support waste handling, labeling, and disposal processes Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate system issues as needed Partner with maintenance personnel, environmental consultants, and regulatory representatives when required Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Skills / Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work safely around chemicals and industrial equipment Good communication and documentation skills Ability to meet physical requirements, including walking, climbing stairs, and lifting as needed
Preferred:
Wastewater treatment or industrial waste management experience Chemical handling or chemical processing experience Experience with pH testing, instrumentation, or calibration Environmental, regulatory, or compliance exposure Manufacturing, maintenance, or process operations experience Strong safety record and commitment to safe work practices Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
