Our sanitation team plays an important role in food safety, product quality, and the successful operation of the manufacturing facility. This is not traditional janitorial cleaning. Our work is specifically focused on maintaining the sanitary conditions required in a food manufacturing environment and helping prevent contamination before production begins. A Different Kind of Food Sanitation One of the biggest differences in our sanitation operation is how the work is performed. Approximately 80% of our sanitation work is dry cleaning, with about 20% involving wet cleaning. If you have worked in food production or sanitation before, you may already know that many sanitation operations involve spending a large portion of the shift working with water, hoses, and wet floors. That is not the way most of our work is performed. Our dry-cleaning process involves the use of appropriate tools and equipment to remove food materials, dust, debris, and other contaminants from production areas, equipment, floors, platforms, tools, and other surfaces. Wet cleaning is performed when required for specific sanitation needs. For experienced production or sanitation employees, this can be a significant difference from what you may have experienced in other food manufacturing environments. What You'll Do As a Production Cleaner, you will help maintain the sanitation standards required in a major food manufacturing facility.

Your responsibilities may include:

Performing industrial sanitation activities that support food safety and product quality Dry cleaning production areas, equipment, tools, platforms, floors, and other surfaces Performing wet cleaning and sanitizing when required Cleaning food production and processing areas according to established procedures Using industrial cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and properly Working on elevated platforms and in other areas where required Following established food safety, sanitation, GMP, and regulatory requirements Maintaining clean, organized, and sanitary work areas Working as part of a team to complete daily sanitation assignments Identifying and communicating sanitation, equipment, or safety concerns to leadership Completing assigned work thoroughly and efficiently while maintaining required standards The objective is not simply to make an area look clean. The work is performed to help control contamination and maintain the sanitary conditions required for food production. What We're Looking For You do not necessarily need years of industrial sanitation experience. We are looking for people who are dependable, willing to work, pay attention to detail, and take pride in doing quality work.

The ideal candidate will have:

Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic The ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, lifting, and working in varying temperatures Good attention to detail The ability to follow established procedures and safety requirements The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team Previous industrial, commercial, manufacturing, production, or sanitation experience is preferred but not required Previous food manufacturing or food safety experience is a plus Previous Lead, Quality, or Supervisory experience is a plus A Schedule That Gives You More Time Off Our team works a rotating 2/2/3 schedule , providing a predictable schedule and a three-day weekend every other week. Week 1: 3 days / 36 hours Week 2: 4 days / 48 hours No additional mandatory overtime Three-day weekend every other week This is a full-time, physically active position in a busy food manufacturing environment. Reliability and teamwork are important because sanitation is a critical part of keeping production operating successfully.

Pay & Benefits Starting Pay:

$16.00
