Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and dependable Labor and Maintenance Support team member to join our dynamic property management and waste and recycling management operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety of guests and maintenance of various property exterior and interior areas, efficient, conscious handling of supplies, materials, waste/recycling, and equipment across outdoor and indoor work sites. Your energy and attention to safety and critical details will help maintain high quality appearance, function and safe access to our managed properties, and support environmental compliance and the overall cleanliness and operational excellence of our properties and waste facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in operating a variety of trucks and equipment for applicants who exhibit promise in these areas, while helping provide the communities we serve with cleaner, 'greener' spaces and buildings, and pushing for more sustainable waste management practices in Taos County. Responsibilities Property care and maintenance - weekly inspections of properties and documentation of key data as assigned, sweeping, shoveling, cleaning, refinishing, and other exterior maintenance. Vacuuming and disinfecting interior spaces. Cleaning, detailing and greasing vehicles and machinery and documentation. Assessing and meeting needs for firewood, grill propane, spa care and function of other property amenities. Support for Manager for physical inspection and communication of information or creation of maintenance work orders. Waste Collection Assistance - property care such as visual inspection and trash clean up on property including debris, trash, pet waste; rolling out trash cans ahead of driver for trash routes; collecting and sorting recycling; clean up of trash collection areas; clean up of trash trucks. Potentially, if qualified to drive company vehicles, transport of materials to the dump or recycling facilities, delivery or removal of items from properties. Possibility to work up to driving trash or recycling trucks as driver at higher pay. Possibility to learn to operate equipment such as plow truck, tractor and excavator at higher pay. Skills Sharp eyes and mind, awareness at all times when on properties for safety and security. Good with details for sweeping, shoveling, etc. high attention to detail is rewarded. The better our properties look, the better job you are doing and an ability to see the difference and care deeply are highly valued by the hands-on ownership. Follow instructions faithfully when provided/necessary, but also capable of making good intelligent and logical decisions if support is not available. Knows how to use internet to search for how to's on anything and follow along. Know when to seek support before making expensive mistakes. Able to enter data on spreadsheets, complete basic computing tasks, track and account for expenses. Able to lift up to 50lbs regularly for several hours on some days. Able to run and work at high altitude. Other Details to Note Must be sober and honest, you will not last and you will waste everyone's time if you're not both of these things. Must be willing to take instruction and work under supervision, and must be able to work solo. Must have 4wd reliable vehicle and be willing to work in extreme winter conditions and early hours starting as early as 5am during and after snow events. This work is seasonal, for the correct applicants full time work will be available year round with slower times in April, and November.
Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 40.0 per week
