Duties Perform thorough cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal across multiple facility types. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to ensure optimal performance. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for mixing, application, storage, and disposal in accordance with safety protocols. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance. Execute sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areas to promote health and hygiene standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention. Follow strict safety practices during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques and familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial vacuums. Ability to handle chemical agents safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and general workplace safety. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or building occupants. Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is highly desirable. Physical capability to perform demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
