Job Summary The Portable Sanitation Service Technician is responsible for providing clean, reliable portable sanitation services primarily along military base routes. This role involves the routine collection, maintenance, and servicing of portable toilets and sanitation units to ensure they meet health and safety standards. The technician plays a vital role in supporting military operations by maintaining sanitation facilities in a professional, efficient manner. Duties Travel along designated military base routes to service portable sanitation units regularly and efficiently. Collect used waste from portable toilets and transport it to designated disposal sites following safety protocols. Inspect sanitation units for cleanliness, functionality, and damage; perform necessary cleaning and minor repairs. Maintain accurate logs of service activities, including locations serviced and waste disposal details. Ensure all equipment and vehicles used are maintained in good working condition and adhere to safety standards. Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations during service activities. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding route progress, issues encountered, or equipment needs. Assist with inventory management of supplies such as toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and other consumables. Qualifications Prior experience in portable sanitation or related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions along military base routes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as required for waste collection and equipment handling. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate service vehicles safely. Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude. Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures diligently.
