Jog Road, WPB 36150 Supervisory and administrative work supervising the clerical and business operations of the Planning, Zoning and Building Department. Supervises the operations of a large clerical and secretarial staff. Work involves planning, assigning, and reviewing the work of subordinate staff and coordinating records maintenance. Develops procedures necessary to carry out these responsibilities. May independently perform highly complex specialized clerical duties; however, the emphasis is on the supervision of the clerical staff of an office. Considerable independent judgment and initiative are exercised in conformance with standard operating policies and procedures. Work is performed under the general supervision of an administrative superior and is reviewed through conferences, reports, and results achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following: A Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a closely related field; minimum of four (4) years of experience in customer service-related activities which includes six (6) months of related experience assigning, coordinating, or directing the work of others, OR Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of eight (8) years of experience in customer service-related activities which includes six (6) months of related experience assigning, coordinating, or directing the work of others.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Experience with records management, Experience using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook), and Experience with Adobe.
