ABOUT PRECISION DOG TRAINING ACADEMY
Precision Dog Training Academy is a professional dog training and boarding facility located in Shawnee, Kansas. Our mission is to provide exceptional training and care for dogs while delivering an outstanding experience for their families. We are seeking a highly organized, sales-driven, and dependable Program Manager to oversee the administrative operations of our dog training programs and boarding accommodations. The Program Manager works closely with the Training Manager, training leadership, and ownership to ensure the company operates efficiently, maintains exceptional client service, maximizes program enrollment, and meets established operational and financial objectives.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Program Manager serves as the central administrative and operational manager for all dog training programs and boarding accommodations at Precision Dog Training Academy. This position is responsible for managing the administrative lifecycle of clients and dogs from the initial inquiry and sales process through enrollment, scheduling, arrival, program participation, boarding, departure, and follow-up services.

Sales and program enrollment Training program administration Boarding administration and accommodations Client communication Scheduling and booking Kennel staff supervision Facility coordination Retail sales and inventory Marketing and social media Administrative records and reporting Veterinary, medication, and feeding coordination This is a hands-on management position requiring exceptional organization, communication, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Manager plays a significant role in generating revenue and maintaining appropriate enrollment across company programs.
Responsibilities include:
Answer incoming sales calls, emails, online inquiries, and in-person inquiries. Educate prospective clients regarding available training programs, boarding accommodations, private training, group classes, and other company services. Conduct appropriate follow-up with prospective clients. Maintain accurate documentation of prospective clients and sales activity. Convert qualified inquiries into program enrollments. Identify appropriate opportunities for additional services and supplemental training. Reconnect with former clients regarding appropriate training, boarding, group classes, and other service opportunities. Assist with promotional and supplemental sales initiatives. Manage in-person and online sales opportunities. Oversee retail sales, including inventory availability, customer interactions, and appropriate product recommendations. Work toward established sales, enrollment, occupancy, and revenue objectives. Training Program Administration Oversee the administrative operations associated with Precision Dog Training Academy's training programs, including: Board and Train programs Behavior Modification programs Private Training Group Training Classes Supplemental training services Ensure all dogs entering training programs meet applicable company requirements, including vaccination, documentation, behavioral information, program placement, scheduling, and client agreements. Maintain accurate and current program records. Coordinate program start dates, completion dates, go-home appointments, private sessions, and group classes. Work with training leadership to ensure administrative scheduling aligns with trainer availability and facility capacity. Boarding Administration and Accommodation Management Oversee the administrative coordination of the company's boarding accommodations. Maintain an accurate and current boarding schedule reflecting: Arrival and departure dates Assigned accommodations Training or boarding status Feeding requirements Medication requirements Special handling instructions Relevant behavioral information Client requests and restrictions Monitor boarding capacity and coordinate reservations to maximize appropriate facility utilization. Ensure boarding information accurately reflects the dogs physically present within the facility. Immediately communicate extensions, early departures, cancellations, special requests, medical concerns, and other significant changes to appropriate staff. Scheduling and Booking Manage and coordinate scheduling for: Board and Train programs Behavior Modification programs Boarding accommodations Private training sessions Group training classes Evaluations and consultations Go home appointments Follow-up services Maintain organized calendars and booking systems. Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, administrative errors, or capacity concerns. Optimize scheduling to support operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, appropriate staffing, and company revenue objectives. Client Communication and Customer Satisfaction Serve as a primary administrative point of contact for clients. Respond professionally and promptly to client phone calls, emails, messages, and other company-approved communications. Ensure clients receive accurate information regarding scheduling, program expectations, boarding accommodations, payments, documentation, and other administrative matters. Collect relevant client information and communicate it to the appropriate training and kennel personnel. Coordinate regular client updates when required, including photos, videos, scheduling information, and program-related communication. Identify unusual, sensitive, or time-critical client concerns and immediately escalate them to appropriate leadership. Promote exceptional customer satisfaction throughout every stage of the client experience. Kennel Staff Supervision Provide direct administrative and operational supervision of kennel attendants.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with recruitment and interviewing. Participating in hiring and onboarding. Coordinating kennel staffing requirements and schedules. Monitoring attendance and punctuality. Providing direction regarding assigned responsibilities. Monitoring compliance with feeding, cleaning, boarding, safety, and animal care procedures. Evaluating employee performance. Documenting and communicating performance concerns. Participating in corrective action and termination decisions in coordination with appropriate company leadership. Ensuring appropriate staffing coverage for dogs within the facility. The Program Manager is expected to hold kennel personnel accountable for established company standards while maintaining professional and respectful leadership. Facility Maintenance Coordination Monitor the facility for operational, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs.
Responsibilities include:
Identifying facility maintenance concerns. Coordinating maintenance requests and approved repairs. Monitoring cleanliness and organization. Identifying equipment requiring repair or replacement. Maintaining appropriate operational supplies. Ensuring storage areas remain organized. Communicating significant facility concerns to ownership or appropriate leadership. The Program Manager is responsible for helping ensure the facility remains clean, safe, organized, professional, and operationally prepared. Food, Medication, and Veterinary Coordination Oversee administrative systems associated with feeding, medication, and veterinary needs. Ensure food is appropriately labeled, stored, documented, and associated with the correct dog. Ensure feeding instructions, allergies, restrictions, and special dietary requirements are accurately documented. Maintain organized medication records and designated medication storage areas. Coordinate administrative communication when veterinary care is required for a dog while in company care. Communicate with ownership and designated leadership regarding medical concerns and required next steps. Ensure appropriate medical information is communicated to clients and properly documented. Marketing and Social Media Support company marketing and client engagement initiatives.

Ensure assigned marketing responsibilities are completed consistently and professionally. Administrative and Clerical Responsibilities Maintain accurate administrative records associated with company programs and boarding operations.

Maintaining the confidentiality of the company, employee, and client information. Hiring and Onboarding Support Assist leadership with recruitment and onboarding activities. Participate in preliminary interviews and candidate screening when assigned. Assist new employees with understanding company systems, scheduling expectations, administrative procedures, communication standards, and applicable policies. Ensure employees receive the appropriate information and resources necessary to perform their responsibilities. Leadership Communication Meet regularly with ownership, the Training Manager, and other members of leadership to discuss: Sales and program enrollment Boarding occupancy Scheduling and capacity Client concerns Kennel staffing Administrative deficiencies Facility needs Marketing initiatives Operational challenges Revenue opportunities Upcoming programs and events The Program Manager is expected to proactively identify problems and present practical solutions rather than allowing administrative or operational issues to remain unresolved.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates should demonstrate: Previous management, program administration, operations, sales, hospitality, customer service, or related professional experience. Strong sales experience with demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and close appropriate sales opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong time management and prioritization abilities. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience supervising employees preferred. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment. Ability to work effectively with clients, trainers, kennel personnel, leadership, and ownership. Experience within the dog training, veterinary, boarding, daycare, pet care, or animal services industry is preferred but not required. Comfortable working around dogs of various breeds, sizes, temperaments, and training levels. Ability to perform the physical functions associated with the position, including lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of: Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM Consistent attendance and reliability are essential functions of this management position due to the Program Manager's responsibilities for client communication, sales, scheduling, boarding administration, and staff supervision.
COMPENSATION
The Program Manager position offers anticipated total annual compensation of $50,000 to $70,000, consisting of a base salary plus a performance-based commission structure. The position includes a guaranteed base salary, with the opportunity to earn additional compensation through commissions on qualifying sales. The commission component is designed to reward successful program enrollment, sales performance, and contribution to company revenue growth. Actual total earnings will vary based on the employee's base salary, experience, qualifications, and commission-eligible sales performance. Specific commission rates, qualifying sales, calculation methods, payment schedules, and other commission requirements will be established and governed by the company's applicable written compensation and commission plan.
