Job Description

About the Position We're looking for the right person to help us take our front end to the next level. Our vision is to create a front-end experience where customers feel welcomed, valued, and well taken care of every time they shop at Central Market. This role is for someone who is energetic, dependable, personable, and takes initiative. Someone who notices what could be better, enjoys working with people, and wants to help build a stronger front-end team and a better experience for our customers. The Front End Lead will work closely with the Front End Director and front-end team to improve customer service, coach and support employees, help manage schedules, solve problems, and keep the front end running smoothly. This position includes a 90-day development period . During this time, you'll have the opportunity to learn the role, take on additional responsibility, and demonstrate that you're ready for the next step. At the end of the 90 days, your performance will be reviewed. If you are successfully meeting the expectations of the role, your pay will increase to $20.00/hour and you will be promoted to Front End Manager. What You'll Do Help create a friendly, welcoming experience for every customer Lead by example and provide excellent customer service Help keep checkout lines moving and the front end running efficiently Help create front-end schedules and make sure we have the right coverage Coach cashiers on customer service, productivity, and front-end procedures Support, coach, and hold front-end employees accountable Help train new cashiers and front-end employees Provide employees with direction and support throughout their shifts Address customer questions and concerns in a friendly and professional way Look for ways to improve the customer experience Identify problems and help find practical solutions Help keep the front end clean, organized, and well-stocked Assist with opening and closing procedures Help ensure front-end policies and procedures are followed Communicate employee and customer concerns to the Front End Director Work with management to identify opportunities to improve front-end operations Take ownership of making the front end better every day What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Genuinely enjoys helping people Has a friendly, positive, and approachable personality Takes pride in providing great customer service Is dependable and has a strong work ethic Takes initiative without always being asked Communicates well with customers and coworkers Is comfortable giving direction and coaching others Can hold employees accountable while still being supportive and respectful Can stay calm and professional when things get busy Is organized and able to help manage schedules and staffing needs Is a problem-solver who looks for ways to make things better Leads by example and earns the respect of the team Wants to grow into a strong leader at Central Market Previous leadership and retail experience is helpful, but it's not required. 90-Day Development Period The first 90 days will be focused on learning the role and demonstrating your ability to lead the front-end team. We'll look at: Customer service Leadership and communication Coaching and supporting employees Scheduling and staffing Reliability and attendance Problem-solving Ability to take initiative Teamwork Following through on responsibilities Overall performance and attitude Successful completion of the 90-day development period will result in advancement to $20.00/hour.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 39.0 per week
