CUSTOMER SERVICE / LOGISTICS COORDINATOR POSITION SUMMARY
The Customer Service / Logistics Coordinator supports daily business operations by coordinating purchasing, inventory management, logistics, shipping and receiving, and customer service activities. This role helps ensure materials, production needs, and deliveries are managed efficiently across locations. Working closely with management and production teams, the Customer Service / Logistics Coordinator maintains accurate inventory records, supports vendor communication, schedules shipments, and assists with customer delivery requirements. This position plays a key role in improving operational efficiency, supporting communication between departments, and helping ensure smooth, timely, and cost-effective business operations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Purchasing and Inventory Management:
- Source, negotiate, and purchase raw materials, packaging supplies, and operational goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Ensure materials are ordered to support production schedules in coordination with the inventory team.
- Oversee receiving inventory at the Wichita, KS location, ensuring proper documentation for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Create and maintain packing slips and ensure accurate receiving and shipping records.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage reorders, and maintain strong vendor communication.

Logistics and Shipping Coordination:
- Develop and maintain truck schedules for deliveries and pickups across both locations.
- Manage freight quotes and support negotiations with shipping carriers to ensure cost efficiency.
- Coordinate closely with Production to align shipping schedules with production timelines.
- Oversee shipment execution, ensuring timely pickups, deliveries, and accurate documentation.
- Organize pallets and support special packaging or shipping projects as needed.
- Maintain strong carrier relationships and ensure reliable logistics operations.

Customer Service & Delivery Management:
- Collect, organize, and distribute proof of delivery (POD) documentation in a timely manner.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
- Ensure smooth delivery coordination and accurate communication with customers regarding logistics.

Team Collaboration & Communication:
- Serve as the primary liaison between production, shipping, purchasing, vendors, and management.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication across all departments to support workflow alignment.
- Support operational reporting and administrative needs as requested by leadership.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Microsoft 365, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, or administrative coordination.
- Experience in a manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP, inventory management, or purchasing systems preferred.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory control practices, and vendor management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information professionally.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently while supporting a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to travel between company facilities as needed.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Pay:
