Job Description
Student strategy and growth Develop differentiated student propositions that bring together productivity, AI, storage, security, skilling, and relevant partner benefits. Build an evergreen acquisition and monetization roadmap around academic lifecycle moments, including back-to-school, semester starts, graduation, and the transition from institution-provided access to an individual subscription. Define end-to-end customer journeys spanning student identification, eligibility verification, checkout, activation, upgrade, renewal, and transitions between education and consumer subscriptions. Develop learning agendas across pricing, trials, offer structure, channels, messaging, customer friction, abuse prevention, and conversion to paid. Assess which subscribers are affected, what changes for them, what value remains available, and whether customers must take action. Identify affected cohorts and data requirements across plan, purchase channel, market, entitlement, and migration status. Develop the end-to-end customer communication and experience plan across email, in-product messaging, support content, FAQs, and other relevant touchpoints. Build and drive launch workbacks covering accountable owners, dependencies, reviews, localization, support readiness, data validation, and channel timing. Partner with Legal and Privacy to obtain guidance and required approvals, then translate those requirements into clear subscriber journeys and coordinated execution. Apply a customer-first framework to required communications, prioritizing clarity, continuity, recourse, and support when subscriber value or entitlements change. Maintain reusable precedents, templates, decision frameworks, and readiness checklists that help teams identify subscriber and execution risks earlier. Provide executive updates on readiness, customer impact, unresolved risks, and decisions required for launch. Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field AND 8+ years of experience in product marketing, growth marketing, business planning, or related work; OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field AND 6+ years of relevant experience; OR equivalent experience. Experience with consumer subscriptions, lifecycle marketing, offers, pricing, acquisition, or recurring-revenue models. Experience marketing to students, emerging adults, or other audience segments with distinct eligibility and lifecycle needs. Familiarity with Windows, device, OEM, Retail, or in-product acquisition experiences. Experience supporting subscriber communications, product-change readiness, disclosures, migrations, or other compliance-related launch requirements. Quantitative skills and experience using funnel, cohort, conversion, renewal, and revenue analysis. Demonstrated ability to influence across organizations and lead programs without direct ownership of resources. Executive communication and decision-framing skills. Ability to balance customer experience, business impact, technical feasibility, and compliance requirements. Experience developing go-to-market strategies, customer value propositions, offers, or growth programs. Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving product, engineering, sales, finance, or partner organizations. Experience using customer and business insights to develop strategy and prioritize investments.
