FleetPride is looking for a Service Writer to help coordinate repairs, communicate with customers, and support our Service Manager and technicians in keeping operations running smoothly. In this role, you'll be a key connection between our customers and service team, ensuring repairs are estimated accurately, scheduled efficiently, and communicated clearly from start to finish. What You'll Do Communicate with customers regarding repair estimates, scheduling, repair progress, and completed work. Explain repairs and services in a knowledgeable, professional manner. Support the Service Manager and technicians with daily operational needs. Prepare invoices, repair orders, reports, correspondence, and other business documents. Review customer account status and payment requirements before scheduling work. Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, and relay messages. Process cash, credit card, and charge account payments, including obtaining required authorizations. Estimate, schedule, and invoice truck and trailer repairs accurately. Coordinate roadside service calls, including scheduling, purchase orders, cost control, and follow-up to ensure timely completion. Order supplies and parts needed for incoming jobs. Maintain accurate records, filing systems, inventory information, and customer databases. Assist with basic bookkeeping and manage the cash drawer and petty cash. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment. Promote FleetPride products and services while delivering excellent customer service. What We're Looking For Education High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge & Experience Solid mechanical understanding of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and Word preferred. Customer service experience and the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Skills & Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced service environment. Sales-minded approach with the ability to recommend FleetPride products and services. Working Conditions This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in a heavy-duty truck service environment. Conditions may include changing temperatures, dust, vibration, vehicle noise, and minimal chemical exposure. Why Join FleetPride?
