Cashier/Customer Service Customer Service Associate/Cashier Cashier/Customer Service Looking for 7am-11am and 11am-7pm shifts

Job Summary:

Convenience Store Cashiers are responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and professional appearance. Additional responsibilities include processing accurate cash and credit card transactions, keeping reports of your daily activity, maintaining a consistent clean work environment both inside the convenience store and at the outside gasoline dispensers, merchandising product and cooking.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Report to work promptly neatly groomed and in uniform (includes name tag and slip resistant shoes).
• Clock-in at the scheduled shift start and clock-out at the scheduled end of shift or when performing non-work-related tasks.
• Ensure customers are given excellent and friendly service.
• Be polite and friendly toward customers, greeting them and thanking them for their business.
• Refuse all gratuities/gifts, graciously.
• Make sure all merchandise is property stocked and available to the customer.
• Check in and receive merchandise from vendors.
• Immediately report any maintenance or mechanical problem to the Manager or the Manager-on-call. If neither is available, the Territory Manager should be notified.
• Promote store specials as required.
• Enter all sales in register at the time of sale.
• Make safe drops according to company policy.
• Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
• Clean outside equipment and merchandisers regularly.
• Clean fountain and coffee areas, equipment and stock as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors as necessary; all shifts pick up parking lot and clean as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the store, including restrooms
• Pick up and empty trash and clean store on each shift.
• Prepare shift check out and report accurately.
• Prepare day close out.
• Report accidents, incidents and/or drive offs during a shift to the Store Manager as soon as they occur.
• Other duties customary to the convenience store industry (included but not limited to stocking, facing and fronting the sales floor and cooler).
• Check and clean car wash daily for debris and foreign objects.
• Adhere to all federal and state statutes regarding the sale of tobacco, lottery, and alcohol.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledgeable about company policies and procedures.
• Safety and security conscious.
• Utilize proper safe food handling procedures; ensuring food is prepared properly (i.e. maintaining proper temperature); food area is properly stocked, cleaned and labeled.
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to repeatedly lift 40-50 pounds on a regular basis (putting out trash, moving stock, etc.)
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (e.

g. 7-9.5 hours at a time).
