Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, product questions, and checkout processes. Operate the cash register (POS system), handle cash transactions accurately, and process retail sales efficiently. Perform retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and returns with precision. Maintain an organized checkout area, including cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end. Upsell products and promote store specials or new items to enhance sales opportunities. Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and assist with merchandising to ensure attractive product presentation. Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits of items. Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support inventory management by assisting with stocking and inventory counts as needed. Foster a positive shopping environment through friendly communication skills and attentive service. Qualifications Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving change, and managing cash drawers confidently. Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or product demonstrations is advantageous. Supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus for leadership opportunities. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge helps provide better assistance to customers. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays effectively.
