Job Description

Are you passionate about animal welfare and helping people? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of cats and dogs every day? The Brown County Humane Society (BCHS) is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking individual to join our team. We're more than just a shelter—we're a nationally recognized animal welfare organization with a 97% save rate. We're looking for someone who brings a strong work ethic, works well with both animals and people, and wants to contribute their skills while continuing to grow as part of our team. What You'll Do:
Provide daily cleaning, feeding, and enrichment for cats and dogs Assist the medical team with health checks and treatments Provide great customer service to adopters, visitors, and community members Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for animals and people Pitch in wherever needed as part of a small, busy team
What We're Looking For:
A dependable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Experience with animals or a willingness to learn on the job Confidence working with both animals and people A willingness to learn, receive feedback, and take on new responsibilities Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, physically active environment Strong communication and people skills Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled Why Join BCHS? Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 38.0 per week
