Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Full-time, dayshift only, with rotating weekends. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases. Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately. Process transactions efficiently, including cash, credit, and debit payments. Maintain knowledge of sales promotions and product offerings to effectively upsell items. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area. Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and empathy. Assist in inventory management and restocking shelves as needed. Cleaning, restrooms included. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs+/- Must be able to stock products, put away deliveries. Must be able to stock coolers properly and according to planograms. Skills Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Proficiency in cash register operation and basic math skills for accurate transaction handling. Experience with retail math to assist in inventory management and sales analysis. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing. Sales experience with a focus on upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction.
