Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Customer Service Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and referral sources. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, coordinating resident inquiries and admissions support, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the resident's stay. The Customer Service Specialist represents the facility's mission and values by promoting professionalism, compassion, and responsiveness in all interactions. Qualifications are listed below.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of customer service or administrative experience, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or a senior living environment. Knowledge of long-term care terminology and regulations (preferred).
Job Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when handling sensitive or emotional situations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general office technology. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Other:
Ability to work with people, meet deadlines, organize and prioritize the work load. Expected to demonstrate excellent customer service skills including talking with Residents and Families. Must have good telephone skills and present professionally.
Work area and environment:
Work is performed in a skilled nursing facility with frequent interaction with residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Greet residents, families, and visitors in a warm and professional manner. Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries, concerns, and requests, ensuring timely and courteous responses. Assist residents and family members in navigating facility services and amenities. Answer and direct phone calls, take detailed messages, and ensure proper follow-up. Manage front desk operations, including mail distribution, visitor sign-ins, and appointment coordination. Assist with the creation and distribution of informational materials and resident communications. Any other duties assigned by the
Nursing Facility Administrator Physical Requirements:
Customer Service Specialist must perform all physical tasks (including lifting up to 25 pounds) required in normal, irregular or emergency operations to keep the facility running efficiently, ensuring at all times that residents receive excellent quality care. The Customer Service Specialist may be called upon to perform physical tasks involving transporting residents by wheelchair, lifting and positioning residents (with assistance), and loading and unloading supplies.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
