GED Typing Full Job Description Job Purpose:
Assist with inquiries from patients, laboratories, physician offices, health plans and internal customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service as the first point of customer contact to internal and external customers.
Data entry, review and understanding of confidential medical claim information.
Ensure timely resolution of internal and external customer inquiries using various resources.
Investigate and resolve internal and external inquiries.
Contribute to other areas and perform duties at JVHL as needed.
Update job knowledge by participation in education opportunities
Understand and follow all JVHL compliance, policy and employee regulations as defined in JVHL Policies and Procedures
Attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff and team meetings.
Understand JVHL Network service roles and responsibilities to external customers
This position will require access to Patient Health Information (PHI), both electronic and hardcopy, so employee will be required to assist in its protection by following corporate policies and procedures that are designed to maintain the privacy and security of PHI.
Education/Qualifications:
High School diploma with 0-2 years of experience in the field or related area
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Typing accurately at 50-60 WPM
Ability to follow instruction.
Ability to adapt to varying workflow.
Attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
1-2 years of customer service experience
Medical billing experience; familiarity with billing forms (UB04, HCFA 1500),
CPT and Diagnosis Codes Job Type:
