Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and understand their service needs with enthusiasm and professionalism Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, utilizing automotive diagnostics tools and estimating software to identify issues accurately Prepare detailed repair estimates, explaining necessary repairs clearly and confidently to clients Recommend additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission servicing to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services while maintaining quality standards Communicate effectively with clients throughout the repair process, providing updates and answering questions about vehicle status or costs Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed service writing records for all work performed Upsell appropriate products and services by understanding customer needs and vehicle requirements while maintaining integrity Maintain comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair procedures including collision repair, diesel engine repair, brake systems, shocks & struts, and auto body work Utilize estimating software for accurate invoicing and documentation of repairs performed Experience Proven experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer within an automotive dealership or repair shop environment Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a service technician or mechanic preferred Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems Experience in auto service management, sales, or auto estimating is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of diverse backgrounds Knowledge of dealership operations including collision repair processes and automotive repair procedures Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed Join our team where your automotive expertise meets your passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences!
