Job Overview We are seeking the right person to fill a role at our scrap recycling facility located in New Haven, Michigan. The available role requires a person with good customer service skills, the ability to multi task in a sometimes high pressure environment while keeping things calm and organized. Experience counting and handling money is a huge plus, since this position is responsible for paying out all of their transactions

•mostly via cash. Prior knowledge and experience with things like inventory control or logistics would be helpful but not required. Responsibilities Monitor incoming traffic for vehicles weighing on large drive up scale, keeping tickets in order and punching vehicle weight tickets. Be aware of and mindful of all legal requirements for our business and be sure to follow all provided guidelines when conducting transactions to remain within those legal requirements. Handle incoming customers to get checked into our purchasing system upon arrival, entering or updating information as needed. Input customer weight information into purchasing software to generate weight tickets and issue payments for all customers. Generate outbound weight tickets for all outbound truck loads; including the management of monthly purchase orders and their progress. Responsible to answer inbound phone calls to answer quick questions and/or transfer calls to appropriate coworkers. Resolve customer inquiries or conflicts promptly with professionalism and courtesy whenever possible and/or transfer the issues to appropriate manager(s). Maintain a clean and organized office space regularly. Collaborate with management on process improvements, safety protocols, and staff participation to optimize overall pay window performance. Complete opening and closing procedures daily including providing all necessary reports and paperwork needed to accounting whenever required. Wear appropriate work attire each day; casual. Experience Prior experience handling and being responsible for the accuracy of a cash drawer; being comfortable counting and handling cash frequently. Customer service experience. Proficiency in Windows-based PCs with a specific prior experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Outlook and Excel. Good problem solving and math skills necessary for accurate financial transactions and reconciliations. Ability to manage conflict situations calmly and professionally while maintaining customer satisfaction. Must be physically able to speak to customers, keep records, and clean and maintain your office space. Must be legally capable of being employed in Michigan. Must be able to reliably commute to New Haven, Michigan with a reliable track record of good work attendance. Must be able to work 5 days per work; 8am
