Responsibilities Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly. Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and ensuring secure cash management throughout your shift. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos. Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a positive shopping experience. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing through effective merchandising. Assist in product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, enhancing their shopping experience. Maintain professional phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support grocery or retail store operations by performing stocking duties and managing retail math for accurate inventory control. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, including supervising less experienced staff when needed. Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members in a bilingual environment if applicable. Qualifications Ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to work full-time and willing to start as soon as possible. MUST have knowledge of vapes and smoke-shop items. Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; grocery store experience is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Experience in cashiering, cash handling, and managing cash drawers confidently. Ability to perform retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and inventory management. Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies.
