Client Care Team Member Do you love dogs, people, organization, and being part of a team that actually enjoys coming to work? We're looking for a friendly, reliable, upbeat, and organized person to join our front desk team at our dog care facility! Our front desk is so much more than answering a phone. You'll be the friendly face (and voice!) of our facility, helping our clients navigate reservations, questions, messages, and all the little details that keep our day running smoothly. But there's one thing we want to make VERY clear:
DOG CARE COMES FIRST. ALWAYS.
Our dogs are our #1 priority. Period. Everything we do—from answering the phone to scheduling reservations to folding laundry—is ultimately about creating a safe, clean, happy, and comfortable environment for the dogs in our care. We believe that great dog care takes a great team , and every member of our team plays a role in making that happen. What Will You Be Doing? Your primary role will be front desk and client services , including: Answering the phone and helping clients with questions Responding to emails and Paw Partner messages in a timely and friendly manner Booking and managing reservations for daycare, boarding, enrichment, training, grooming, and other services Uploading and maintaining vaccination records Helping clients understand our services, policies, procedures, and requirements Keeping pet and client information accurate and organized Communicating important information to the rest of the team Creating a warm, welcoming experience for our clients and their dogs But We're a Dog Care Facility... Not Just an Office! There will absolutely be times when you step away from the computer and pitch in wherever you're needed.
That might mean:
Folding laundry Washing dishes Helping keep the facility clean and organized Restocking supplies Helping with general facility tasks Jumping in to help the team during busy times We are a "that's not my job" free zone. If the laundry needs folding, we fold laundry. If the dishes need doing, we do the dishes. If the dogs need something, the dogs come first. We all pitch in. We all help each other. And we leave our egos at the door. How Hands-On With the Dogs Is This Position? That's flexible! This position can be very hands-on with the dogs, somewhat hands-on, or primarily front-desk/behind-the-scenes , depending on your experience, skills, training, and other qualifications. Someone with extensive dog-handling experience may have opportunities to assist more directly with the dogs. Someone whose strengths are primarily customer service and administration may spend most of their time at the front desk. We are happy to find the right balance based on your abilities and our facility's needs. That said, regardless of how hands-on you are with the dogs, you should genuinely enjoy being around them. Our Dogs Come First We take the responsibility of caring for someone's dog very seriously. These aren't just "dogs in a kennel." They are someone's family. We expect every member of our team to understand that safety, welfare, enrichment, cleanliness, and the individual needs of every dog come before convenience. If something needs to be done for a dog's safety or wellbeing, we do it. If a dog needs something, we don't say, "That's not my job." We figure it out, communicate with the team, and make sure that dog is taken care of.
NO DRAMA. SERIOUSLY.
We work hard to create a workplace that is positive, respectful, supportive, and drama-free. We don't have time for gossip, negativity, cliques, or workplace nonsense. We have dogs to care for! We expect our team members to: Treat coworkers with respect Communicate openly and professionally Give each other grace and support Accept feedback without taking everything personally Ask questions when they aren't sure Speak up when something doesn't seem right Leave personal drama at the door Work together toward the same goal We don't expect perfection. We do expect people to communicate, learn, and take responsibility. You Might Be a Great Fit If...
You are:
A genuine animal lover Friendly and comfortable talking with people Comfortable answering phones Comfortable using computers and learning new software Able to communicate professionally through email and messaging Organized and detail-oriented A good problem solver Reliable and punctual A team player Willing to pitch in wherever needed Not afraid of laundry, dishes, or cleaning Able to have fun and laugh at work Passionate about providing excellent care for dogs Experience in dog daycare, boarding, veterinary care, grooming, training, animal rescue, pet care, customer service, or another animal-related field is a plus—but we're willing to train the right person. What We Really Want We're not necessarily looking for someone who knows everything about dogs or has years of front-desk experience. We're looking for someone who cares. Someone who notices when something needs to be done and does it. Someone who understands that the dog (or client, or coworker!) who is having a rough day may need a little extra patience. Someone who can make a nervous pet parent feel comfortable. Someone who can answer the phone, help a client, update a vaccination record, fold a basket of towels, and laugh with their coworkers about something ridiculous that happened five minutes ago. Someone who understands that we're all here for the same reason: the dogs. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
