Description We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support a high-volume customer service operation within the food and food processing industry in Rochester, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering dependable service. The person in this role will handle customer inquiries, process orders accurately, and help maintain a positive experience across every interaction.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming customer calls with professionalism, courtesy, and a solutions-focused approach.
• Enter customer orders accurately into the appropriate system while verifying details and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist customers with questions related to products, order status, and general service needs.
• Make outbound calls when follow-up is needed to confirm information, provide updates, or address service concerns.
• Document customer interactions thoroughly to support accurate records and effective communication across teams.
• Resolve routine service issues promptly and escalate more complex matters to the appropriate internal contacts.
• Maintain a consistent level of service quality while managing a steady call volume and multiple priorities.
• Support operational continuity by adapting to updated processes, tools, or workflow changes as needed. Requirements
• Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment.
• Proven ability to handle inbound calls efficiently and professionally.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail in order entry and documentation tasks.
• Comfortable managing both inbound and outbound customer communication.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stay organized and productive in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic computer proficiency and confidence learning customer service systems.
