Rent-A-Center is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support our rent-to-own retail store. In this fast-paced role, you will greet customers, understand their needs, and guide them in selecting furniture, electronics, appliances, and computers that fit their budget. You will explain flexible payment options, process applications and payments, and maintain accurate customer accounts. Responsibilities include supporting sales goals, assisting with basic collections outreach, and helping manage inventory and merchandising. You'll work closely with a supportive team, gaining hands-on experience in retail, sales, and finance while serving diverse local communities. Responsibilities Welcome and assist customers in selecting rent-to-own furniture, electronics, appliances, and computers Explain rental terms, payment options, and ownership benefits clearly and accurately Process applications, payments, and agreements using POS and store systems Support sales goals through product recommendations and add-on sales Maintain accurate customer records, accounts, and payment histories Assist with basic collections outreach and payment reminders as directed Help manage inventory, merchandising, and store appearance Coordinate product pickups and deliveries with the store team Resolve basic customer issues and escalate complex concerns to management Work collaboratively with team members to meet store performance targets Required Skills Point-of-sale (POS) operation Customer relationship management (CRM) software Cash handling and reconciliation Retail sales techniques Product knowledge: furniture, electronics, appliances, computers Payment plan setup and documentation Account management and collections support Inventory tracking and stock management Basic financial literacy for rental agreements Conflict resolution and de-escalation
