In this vital role, you will be the key communicator between customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring that vehicle repairs and maintenance are accurately documented, efficiently scheduled, and seamlessly executed. Your expertise in automotive parts, diagnostics, and service processes will help deliver outstanding experiences to our clients while supporting the smooth operation of our service department. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of vehicles and parts. Only candidates with 3+ years of experience will be considered for this position. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document service requests to facilitate effective repairs. Prepare detailed estimates using estimating software, including auto estimating and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools. Recommend additional services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension work, or transmission repairs to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability through upselling. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and communicate updates clearly to customers. Manage parts inventory by advising on parts availability, ordering necessary components, and ensuring timely delivery for repairs. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service and parts sales. Foster strong client relationships through transparent communication about vehicle status, repair options, and service recommendations. Skills Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, or automotive service management within a dealership or similar environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, alignment, suspension components, and more. Skilled in auto estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to generate accurate repair costs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients from diverse backgrounds. Ability to upsell effectively by identifying additional services that meet customer needs while enhancing dealership revenue. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with automotive repair procedures such as oil changes or tire services is beneficial. Knowledge of dealership operations including cash handling and automobile sales processes enhances your effectiveness in this role.
