Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Customer Service/Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring accurate financial transactions. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to combine customer service excellence with detailed financial management, supporting our company's growth and operational efficiency. Your expertise in accounting systems, financial software, and client communication will drive success in managing accounts receivable processes while delivering outstanding service to our clients. Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation to ensure timely payments and accurate records Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other financial systems to process transactions and maintain data integrity Perform data entry and analysis using Excel spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools to support financial reporting and decision-making Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email to resolve billing issues, clarify account details, and facilitate collections Prepare journal entries, perform double-entry bookkeeping tasks, and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances regularly to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions Support the accounting team with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and analysis of financial concepts Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong focus on accounts receivable management and customer service Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; experience with billing software is a plus Knowledge of GAAP standards, SOX compliance requirements, and governmental or corporate accounting practices Strong proficiency in Excel data analysis, formulas, spreadsheets creation, and report generation Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette for client interactions Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, journal entries, and technical accounting tasks accurately Demonstrated understanding of debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping principles, and financial concepts Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts receivable tasks efficiently Join us in this engaging role where your expertise will directly impact our company's financial health while providing exceptional service to our clients.
