Responsibilities Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately. Handle cash drawer operations with precision, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling sales at shift end. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of store merchandise, including product features and merchandising standards, to assist customers effectively. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Support supervising staff with training or mentoring new team members as needed. Engage in retail math to accurately calculate discounts, totals, and change during transactions. Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking supplies or conducting product demos to showcase features. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations required. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are advantageous. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising standards essential for providing excellent customer service. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations. Experience in upselling, customer service excellence, and phone etiquette highly valued. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or organizing displays effectively.
