Our approach is simple:

People before policies. We're looking for an experienced Insurance Account Manager who can step in and help manage both personal and commercial insurance accounts while providing the responsive, relationship-driven service our clients expect.

IMPORTANT

Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of insurance account management experience and an active Property & Casualty insurance license. This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Bluffton, SC office. Remote work is not available for this role. What You'll Do As an Account Manager, you'll take ownership of an assigned book of business and work closely with our clients, producers, insurance carriers, and underwriters.

Responsibilities include:

Manage and service personal and commercial insurance accounts Handle policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and other service requests Review policies and renewals for coverage accuracy and potential gaps Communicate with clients regarding coverage, billing, underwriting requirements, and policy changes Work directly with insurance carriers and underwriters to resolve account issues Assist with remarketing accounts when appropriate Process certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, mortgagee requests, and other policy documentation Follow up on underwriting requirements and carrier requests Maintain accurate and detailed client records in our agency management system Support producers with new and existing client accounts Identify opportunities to round out accounts with additional coverage when appropriate Provide timely, professional, and friendly client service Help maintain strong client retention and long-term relationships What We're Looking ForRequired Minimum of 2 years of insurance account management experience Active Property & Casualty insurance license Experience servicing personal and commercial insurance accounts Ability to work full-time, in person at our Bluffton, SC office Strong understanding of insurance coverages, endorsements, underwriting, and policy servicing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to independently manage multiple clients, requests, and priorities Comfortable working with agency management systems and carrier websites Strong sense of ownership and a client-first mindset Preferred Experience working for an independent insurance agency Experience with coastal property insurance Experience with homeowners, flood, auto, umbrella, commercial property, and general liability Experience with HawkSoft or a similar agency management system Familiarity with the Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Beaufort, and Charleston insurance markets Compensation & Benefits Starting salary: $50,000+ per year, based on experience and qualifications Bonus potential based on company performance Health benefits 401(k) after the applicable eligibility period Paid time off (no waiting period) Full-time position with a growing independent insurance agency Who Will Thrive at Coastal Haven We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and genuinely enjoys taking care of clients.
