Duties Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections. Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end. Conduct product demos when necessary to showcase features and benefits of store merchandise. Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising to maintain an attractive store environment. Maintain phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries via phone or online communication channels. Support store operations by supervising team members during shifts when needed and assisting with training new staff. Skills Proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations for smooth transactions. Previous supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is highly desirable. Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base better. Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking procedures. Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is beneficial for understanding fast-paced settings. Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers over the phone or online.
