Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-2:30 PM Core Personnel Staffing is hiring a Customer Service Representative for an established metal finishing manufacturer in Rowlett, TX. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone who enjoys being the go-to contact for customers and works well with production, quality, and shipping teams to get orders out on time. Why You'll Love This Role $24/hr with a path to permanent hire Early schedule, done by 2:30 PM Monday-Friday Paid lunch flexibility: one 30-minute lunch (off-site allowed) plus two 15-minute breaks Second-chance friendly: background history is reviewed on an individual, case-by-case basis Steady office role inside a manufacturing environment What You'll Do Answer customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person Enter and process customer orders accurately in the company system Give customers clear updates on order status, lead times, pricing, and delays Investigate and resolve customer complaints, escalating when needed Coordinate with production, quality, and shipping to make sure orders ship on time Keep customer records, purchase orders, and correspondence up to date Run reports on order tracking, customer feedback, and service performance Share customer trends and recurring issues with management to improve service What You Bring High school diploma or GED 1-3 years of customer service experience, ideally in manufacturing or an industrial setting Experience with order management or inventory tracking systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented and organized, able to juggle several tasks in a fast-paced environment Calm and professional when handling difficult customer situations Knowledge of plating, coatings, or metal finishing is a plus Schedule Details Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-2:30 PM Occasional Saturdays as needed, with advance notice Overtime may be available based on production demand Work Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily a desk role with extended sitting and computer/phone use Occasional walking to production and shipping areas Occasional lifting of small packages or paperwork Safety glasses and earplugs required when on the production floor (provided) Ready to apply?
