Service Writer / Service Advisor A&N Diesel - Louisa, VA Full-Time | Monday-Friday Overview We are seeking an experienced and professional Service Writer to join our team at A&N Diesel. The ideal candidate will have prior service writing experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of automotive or diesel repair operations . This role requires the ability to manage repair workflow, communicate clearly with customers, and support efficient shop operations. Duties Communicate with customers to understand and document service needs Schedule service appointments and manage repair workflow Prepare and present accurate repair estimates and recommendations Order, track, and verify parts needed for repairs Coordinate directly with technicians to ensure timely job progression Maintain detailed notes and service records using our shop management system (Shopmonkey) Provide status updates to customers throughout the repair process Close repair orders, process payments, and finalize invoices Assist in promoting recommended maintenance and service options Experience Required Skills Previous Service Writer / Service Advisor experience Knowledge of diesel or automotive service operations and terminology Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to organize workload and manage multiple active jobs Accurate and professional estimate writing Ability to process payments and handle invoice documentation Comfortable using service/estimate software (Shopmonkey experience is a plus) Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with diesel platforms including light-duty and heavy-duty trucks Ability to understand or quickly learn heavy-duty systems and repair requirements Basic mechanical knowledge to support clear explanations to customers and accurate estimating Compensation & Schedule $20-$32/hr based on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Monday-Friday schedule (no weekend hours) Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays Supportive, team-based work environment with opportunities for growth Join Our Team If you are organized, customer-focused, and experienced in service writing, we encourage you to apply.
