Key Qualifications:

Active New York State Teaching License with ART endorsement/certification Previous experience teaching general education or art in a school setting is preferred Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage diverse learners Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration abilities Passion for integrating the visual arts into a dynamic curriculum

Role Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging art lessons that meet New York State standards for grades assigned Encourage creative thinking, artistic skills, and self-expression through diverse mediums and projects Assess student progress, provide feedback, and tailor instruction to support individual learning needs Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all students Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate arts concepts into broader educational themes and activities Communicate clearly with parents and staff regarding student growth and classroom objectives Participate in school-wide events, shows, or activities that showcase student artwork You'll enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule totaling 35 hours per week, with weekly pay rates between $35-40 per hour and access to comprehensive healthcare benefits provided through Soliant.
