Job Description

Title/Position:
AVL Generalist- Part Time 16 hours per week
Department:
Worship & Arts Team Leader:
Service Director General Description Responsible for the day-to-day support of the technical aspects of the Worship & Arts Ministry, including worship services, special worship, SRVCA, CPC Ministries, and For The Valley events.
Support includes:
audio mixing, video recording of live events, set up and tear down of audio and video equipment, staging, and basic operation of lighting equipment. Specific Responsibilities
  • Support the technical aspects of the Worship & Arts production ministry. Support at special worship events, and regularly scheduled weekday and weekend ministry events
  • Support includes: audio mixing, broadcast mixing, video editing, set-up and tear down of audio and video equipment, staging, and basic operation of camera, sound and lighting equipment
  • Regularly maintain and clean all equipment, loading and programming content for services and events, and training and guiding tech volunteers
  • Oversee proper "mic-ing" of all vocals and instruments, assisting with individual monitor mix (programming and routing)
  • Operate handheld and mounted cameras for live and recorded video, including set-up, lighting, and maintenance of various lighting and camera equipment
  • Develop relationships with and help build the tech volunteer team
  • Able to travel independently to on-campus and off-site locations, including transport, set-up and break-down of audio/sound equipment
  • Assist team in brainstorming creative programming ideas, project execution and coordination for lighting, set design, video and audio for CPC and CPC-related events, including set construction, pre- and post-event setup, special event set-up, and other AVL tech support Secondary Responsibilities
  • Ability to work weekdays, evenings or weekends to manage or support CPC church and school-related events
  • Seek and act upon ways to increase your work effectiveness
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly to perform all duties to meet deadlines
  • Be aware of and follow the employee procedures documented in CPC Employee Handbook and policies, including CPC's personal conduct guidelines
  • Demonstrate professional and positive communications and attitude
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with other Tech team members, W&A Team, the Pastoral Staff and other CPC employees, adding value to every area.
  • Keep your supervisor informed of problems within your areas of responsibilities and include suggested solutions for any problems identified
  • Perform other duties as requested by CPC leadership Qualifications
  • Experience in live mix, sound reinforcement, AV broadcast
  • Experience as a videographer preferred
  • Basic knowledge of and experience with camera and video equipment, and video editing (e.g. Adobe Premier, FinalCut)
  • Basic knowledge of and experience with audio mixing equipment
  • Basic knowledge of digital audio editing (e.g. ProTools, Ableton)
  • Basic knowledge of lighting techniques / programming
  • Working knowledge of presentation software (e.g. ProPresenter)
  • Proficiency in
Word, Excel, Outlook, Avid Pro Tools, and Waves Tracks Live Physical Requirements:
  • Installs/builds rigging, lighting, sound equipment, and erects stages, including crawling in tight spaces, operating lift equipment, operating construction tools and equipment.
  • Operates lighting and sound equipment during rehearsals and performances, following audio or visual cues.
  • Operates live action camera equipment, including up and down stairs and multi-level staging
  • Moderate physical activity. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and/or standing and/or walking an average of 4 hours a day.
  • Climbs ladder to ceiling grid, inserts ends of cables or ropes through ceiling grid, and attaches cables to scenery, curtains, equipment, support pipes, and counterbalance weights. Personal Qualities

            $22.00 - $30.50 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 20.0 per week
