is a growing technology integration company specializing in commercial audio visual, structured cabling, fiber optics, networking, security, access control and other connected technology systems. We are looking for an experienced Audio Visual Technician who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to grow with a company where skills and experience are valued. Our technicians work on permanent commercial installations involving conference rooms, control systems, network infrastructure, structured cabling and related technology. What You'll Do
  • Install, terminate, test and troubleshoot commercial AV systems
  • Install displays, projectors, cameras, speakers, microphones and related equipment
  • Install and terminate Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A and other low-voltage cabling
  • Assist with fiber-optic installation and termination
  • Build and wire equipment racks
  • Install patch panels, cable management and AV equipment
  • Perform above-ceiling cable installation and pathway work
  • Install conference room and collaboration technology
  • Assist with Extron, Crestron, Control4, Q-SYS, Biamp and similar systems
  • Configure and troubleshoot AV equipment
  • Perform system testing and commissioning
  • Read construction drawings, floor plans and AV/low-voltage drawings
  • Identify and resolve installation and technical problems
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, general contractors and project managers
  • Work independently or as part of an installation team
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe job site
  • Travel to customer locations throughout Ventura and Los Angeles Counties The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who can do more than simply pull cable. The ideal candidate has experience with commercial AV installation, structured cabling, networking or low-voltage systems and wants to develop into a Lead Technician or Foreman. Experience with any of the following is highly desirable: AV

  • Cable management
  • Fluke testing/certification
  • Wireless access points
  • CCTV
  • Access control Qualifications
  • Ideal candidates will meet most of the following:
  • 2+ years of relevant AV, low-voltage, telecommunications, networking or electrical experience preferred
  • Commercial installation experience preferred
  • Have basic hand tools
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems
  • Ability to read drawings and installation documentation
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Professional appearance and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work from ladders and lifts and perform physical installation work
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to travel locally to project sites
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Hard working with strong work ethic
  • Efficient with good time management skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Available to work night shifts, occasional overtime, and occasional weekends C-7, C-10, AV, networking, fiber, telecommunications or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
