Audio/Visual Technician

Job Description

Overview Our Audio/Visual Technician will be at the reins of our "behind the scenes" production for all weekend services and other programs/events as assigned. Not only will this individual oversee our technical volunteers, they will help build a healthy team environment in which our people can grow in their technical and production skills to serve God with excellence. The Audio/Visual Technician will also provide technical support throughout the building when needed. Additionally, our Audio/Visual technician will be responsible for the live stream of our worship services. Qualifications
  • Perform primary duties and responsibilities for the ministry purposes of Second Presbyterian Church.
  • Flexible hours for availability (including evenings and weekends) when the Church is open. Sundays and special services are required.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Effectively organize, prioritize and lead multiple projects
  • Attitude of responsiveness and flexibility with strong interpersonal skills
  • Possess attention to detail, problem solving and staying up to date with ever-changing industry standard capabilities Areas of Responsibility
  • Attend weekly worship planning meetings
  • Develop, train and lead a team of people to execute technology for all worship services
  • Facilitate the technical production for all worship services and other programs/events at Second Presbyterian Church (i.e. Sound, Lighting, Media, Video)
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on design and technical graphics issues to other staff
  • Store, maintain, and service all Audio/Visual Equipment
  • Work closely with the Director of Communication, Director of Music, Organist and the Worship and Music Committee Authority Held
  • Oversee all technical volunteers Evaluation
  • This position will be reviewed on an annual basis and the review will be shared with the
HR Committee Pay:
Up to $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 per week
