Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a versatile, highly skilled AV Installation Technician & Box Truck Driver located in the Jessup, MD area. This hybrid role requires a technician who can safely transport high-value audio-visual equipment in a 26' box truck and execute on-site installation and troubleshooting of AV systems. You will work independently or alongside a team and support remote, out-of-state projects from delivery to final handover.
Key Responsibilities Logistics & Fleet Operations Equipment Transport:
Safely operate a 26' box truck to deliver AV equipment, racks, and infrastructure from Jessup, MD to remote and out-of-state client sites.
Material Handling:
Load, unload, stage, and track tools, components, and consumables
Inventory Control:
Support service center operations, perform quality control on incoming/outgoing freight, and maintain vehicle organization.
Technical AV Installation & Support Execute Deployments:
Participate in hands-on installations, including pulling cable, mounting displays/projectors, building racks, and terminating connections.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve AV issues ranging from signal routing to hardware failures and network configurations.
Site Safety:
Maintain safe, clean, and professional work-site conditions while following proper safety and PPE protocols.
Job Requirements & Qualifications Licensing & Certifications:
Must possess a valid, current DOT Medical Card .
AV Experience:
Mid-level position requiring practical knowledge of AV hardware setup, standard wiring schematics, and fundamental signal routing. Commercial-only project focus; no residential work required.
Commercial Driving:
Proven experience safely operating a large 26' box truck.
Independence:
Proven capability to work unsupervised and manage tasks efficiently at remote customer locations.
Travel Flexibility:
Must be able to travel out of state, stay multiple days in hotels for out-of-town projects, and work flexible hours (day, evening, night, weekends) as required.
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift 50+ lbs occasionally and sit or stand for extended periods.
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
