In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing low voltage AV systems across various homes throughout the Twin Cities Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of audiovisual solutions, delivering exceptional experiences for clients and end-users alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge AV projects, enhance your technical skills, and contribute to high-profile installations and events. Duties Install, configure, and commission low voltage audio, video, and control systems in accordance with technical specifications and blueprints. Troubleshoot AV equipment issues using electrical schematics, schematics reading, and engineering troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on AV systems including cabling, equipment calibration, software updates, and system upgrades. Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate system installation and integration with existing infrastructure. Conduct field service visits to diagnose and resolve AV system faults promptly while providing excellent customer service. Manage cabling tasks using hand tools while adhering to safety standards; document all work performed thoroughly. Troubleshoot software issues related to AV control systems and provide technical support for end-users during live operations or installations. Experience Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong background in low voltage system installation and maintenance. Hands-on experience with AV system troubleshooting, control system programming (AV controls), and digital signal processing is highly desirable. Knowledge of computer networking concepts as they relate to AV systems is required for seamless integration. Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, voltmeters, multimeters, and other electrical testing equipment safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge related to cabling infrastructure, equipment mounting, and mechanical assembly enhances performance in this role. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
