Lead A/V Technician / Lead Installer Sera Custom Integrators by Stereo Planet Bend, Oregon $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience Compensation above the posted range may be available for an experienced Oregon LEA-licensed technician. About the Position Sera Custom Integrators is looking for an experienced Lead A/V Technician who takes pride in exceptional installation work and genuinely enjoys working in the field. This is a hands-on installation position. We are not looking for someone whose real goal is to transition into sales or a desk-based management role. We want a highly capable technician who is comfortable leading projects while continuing to install, troubleshoot, program, and complete systems alongside the rest of the team. The right person is organized, productive, technically strong, and particular about the finished product. You should be able to walk onto a project, understand what needs to happen, coordinate with the project manager and other trades, and lead the installation through a clean and successful completion. What You'll Do Lead residential and light-commercial A/V installations Install TVs, projection systems, speakers, equipment racks, networking equipment, lighting-control devices, surveillance cameras, shades, and related systems Read plans, proposals, wiring diagrams, and project documentation Build and trim equipment racks cleanly and consistently Terminate, test, label, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring Configure and troubleshoot networks and connected devices Perform system programming, testing, calibration, and client handoff Direct and train installers while remaining actively involved in the installation Coordinate professionally with clients, builders, electricians, designers, and other trades Identify problems early and communicate clearly with the project manager Maintain clean jobsites, organized vehicles, and accurate project documentation Deliver work that is functional, reliable, and visually excellent Required Qualifications At least five years of professional A/V or low-voltage installation experience Strong residential A/V installation and troubleshooting skills Demonstrated ability to lead installations and direct other technicians Experience with structured wiring, equipment racks, distributed audio, home theater, networking, and system control Ability to read plans and independently work through installation details Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship Strong communication and client-service skills Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Ability to lift and carry equipment, work from ladders, and perform the physical requirements of installation work Willingness to work primarily in the field as a hands-on installer Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is valuable: Control4, Crestron, or similar control platforms Lutron lighting control and automated shades Ubiquiti UniFi or other professional networking systems Sonos, Bluesound, and distributed-audio systems Surveillance, security, and access-control systems High-performance home theater and two-channel audio Oregon LEA or other applicable electrical/low-voltage licensing Compensation The posted compensation range is $35-$45 per hour , based on experience, technical ability, leadership skills, and certifications.
